USER GUIDE FOR ONLINE BUYBACK SERVICE

1.3 If you have any questions regarding this online buyback service, please contact IMPROVED's Customer Service Center. If you do not agree with or cannot fully understand any of the terms, please do not proceed with the following steps. Once you have registered as a user of the platform, you will be entitled to use the corresponding services provided by the platform. However, you must also comply with the relevant rules and fulfill certain obligations. This user guide constitutes a legally binding document between both parties. At that point, you will not have the right to claim that this guide is invalid or to request its cancellation on the grounds that you have not read its contents or that the platform has not responded to your questions.
1.4 The platform’s Privacy Policy and Regulations constitute an integral part of this User Guide and carry the same legal effect. Your use of the platform's services shall be deemed as your acceptance of the aforementioned policies and rules.
2.1 Sources of used devices accepted under the online buyback program include: iPhones (excluding carrier-locked contract devices), iPads, Macs, Apple Watches from regions worldwide, and certain other types of mobile phones (hereinafter referred to as “used devices” or “devices”).
3. Buyback and Transaction of Used Devices
3.1 Transaction Method: After registering and logging into the platform, you shall truthfully provide relevant information about the used device(s) you own. You also agree to allow IMPROVED to assess the reusable value of the used device through related platform functions and provide a price quote. If you confirm your acceptance of the quoted price, both parties will proceed to sign the “Used Electronic Device Buyback Agreement” via an online process. Upon your handover of the device in accordance with the terms of the agreement, IMPROVED will issue the corresponding payment for the buyback.
3.2 Inspection Requirements:
IMPROVED provides a free inspection service for the used device(s) you submit. You agree to conduct a functional inspection of the device via the WeChat mini-program “IMPROVED Inspection” designated by IMPROVED (including but not limited to functions such as gyroscope, WiFi, Bluetooth, etc.). You also agree to allow IMPROVED to perform image-based inspections of relevant features (including but not limited to) buttons, cameras, Face ID/Touch ID, as well as a physical appearance check (including but not limited to) the screen, device frame, back cover, etc.
3.3 Transaction Price:
After the inspection, IMPROVED reserves the right to provide a final quotation for the used device. Once you receive the quotation from IMPROVED, you should confirm it within 30 minutes. The price you confirm shall be deemed the official transaction price for the device under IMPROVED’s online buyback program (hereinafter referred to as the “Online Buyback Transaction Price”). If you do not confirm the quotation within the specified time, the quotation will become invalid, and the buyer reserves the right to issue a new offer.
3.4 Signing of Electronic Contract:
Once you confirm the quotation for the used device and choose to proceed with the transaction, please follow the platform’s instructions to truthfully provide your personal information. In certain cases, you may be required to complete identity verification via facial recognition to ensure the accuracy of the personal information. You will then sign an electronic contract titled “Used Electronic Device Buyback Agreement.” You are obligated to accurately and completely fill in the necessary information, including but not limited to: full name, national ID/passport number, phone number, bank/Alipay/WeChat account details, email address, shipping address, serial number (S/N) of the iPhone/iPad/Mac/Apple Watch, and IMEI for other mobile phones (depending on the requirements displayed on the IMPROVED transaction page).
IMPROVED is committed to using your personal and device information solely for the purposes of this online buyback program and will retain such information only for the period necessary to complete the transaction, unless otherwise required by law. (For details on privacy and personal information protection, please refer to “IMPROVED’s Privacy Policy.”) Throughout the online buyback process, please ensure that the phone number you provide to IMPROVED is accurate and active, as it will serve as the only means of inquiry and communication during the entire transaction.
3.6 Completion of Delivery and Acceptance:
You shall deliver the used electronic device in accordance with the agreement and within the timeframe specified in the signed electronic contract. Once the device passes the inspection without issues, the staff will confirm the information in the system, and the delivery and acceptance process will be considered complete. After this point, you will not be able to request the return of the used device.
3.7 Payment:
IMPROVED will proceed with the payment of the agreed buyback amount immediately after receiving the “Goods Received” confirmation. You must provide your accurate payment information to IMPROVED. If any consequences arise from incorrect information provided by you or from assigning another person to receive the payment, you will bear full responsibility.
4. Device Delivery Requirements
4.1 Before sending the used device to IMPROVED, you are obligated to remove the SIM card from the device and keep it safely in your possession. IMPROVED shall not be held liable for any loss resulting from your failure to remove the SIM card.
With regard to the packaging box and any related packing materials you use to ship the used device, IMPROVED assumes no responsibility for any damage, loss, or recovery thereof. Furthermore, regardless of whether the transaction is completed or canceled, all packaging, user manuals, and accessories (including but not limited to wired or wireless earphones, charging cables, screen protectors, phone cases, SIM ejector pins, etc.) that are sent will not be returned.
4.2 Before sending the used device to IMPROVED, you must back up and store all files or data on the device and take reasonable steps to delete any personal information, startup passwords, access restriction passwords, ID accounts, and all other accounts and passwords on the device. You must also delete all files or data classified as personal information—such as contacts, photos, videos, audio files, and software applications (collectively referred to as "your personal information")—from the device. IMPROVED shall not be liable for any damage, loss, or failure to recover the aforementioned files or data.
4.3 You fully understand and agree that once the used device is received by IMPROVED, IMPROVED has the right to reformat the device’s system and erase all original information stored on it. IMPROVED shall not be held liable for any consequences arising from the reformatting of the used device.
In the event that the buyback price is clearly incorrect due to a data error in the platform system (for example, if the buyback price exceeds the price of a new device or deviates significantly from the actual market value), you agree that the buyer has the right to adjust the quoted price without being held liable for breach of contract.
6. After a Successful Transaction:
Once the buyback transaction is completed, you are not allowed to request to halt or reject the transaction for any reason or by any means. If you refuse the transaction, all risks and legal liabilities arising therefrom shall be solely borne by you. Furthermore, IMPROVED reserves the right to hold you accountable for breach of contract and to recover any losses incurred by IMPROVED due to your refusal in accordance with the platform’s rules.
7. Special Agreements
7.1 You warrant that all device information, transaction details, and content declared and submitted to IMPROVED are accurate, truthful, valid, and complete. Additionally, the used device you submit is genuine and original from the manufacturer, contains no non-genuine replacement components, and complies with the requirements of IMPROVED’s online buyback program.
7.2 You represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old.
You further represent and warrant that the used device is your lawful property, free from any mortgages, pledges, liens, or any third-party claims or encumbrances, and that you have full authority to dispose of the used device.
7.4 You warrant that the used device you submit is not derived from any illegal activities such as theft, robbery, fraud, forgery, smuggling, or any other unlawful acts. Should any civil disputes, criminal liabilities, or administrative penalties arise due to the illegal origin of the used device or your lack of authority to dispose of it, you shall bear full responsibility. In the event that IMPROVED suffers any losses, IMPROVED reserves the right to seek compensation from you. If any suspected illegal activity is detected, IMPROVED reserves the right to disclaim liability and hand over the device to judicial authorities for handling, while cooperating with investigations and demanding full compensation from you for all resulting damages.
You agree to provide original or copy of your personal information upon IMPROVED’s request, and to cooperate with IMPROVED’s service personnel for identity verification and inspection of the used device. If the identity verification or device inspection fails or the documents are incomplete, IMPROVED reserves the right to reject your application to participate in the online buyback program. For used devices that have already participated in the buyback program, IMPROVED reserves the right to unilaterally cancel the transaction and return the used device to you.
If you violate the service and cause any losses to IMPROVED’s directors, employees, subsidiaries, branches, or agents, you shall be fully liable for compensating all such damages.
If the used device you submit is counterfeit, fake premium, or of illegal origin, IMPROVED reserves the right to refuse acceptance or cancel the transaction in the online buyback program. IMPROVED shall bear no responsibility for the return of the device or for handing the device over to administrative authorities for handling.
Any disputes arising from the terms and conditions of this transaction shall be brought before the People’s Court where IMPROVED’s headquarters is located for resolution.
If the used device you deliver does not comply with the provisions in the electronic contract or violates the regulations in this buyback guide or relevant laws, IMPROVED reserves the right to refuse to accept the device and cancel the transaction. In cases where the device has already been bought or payment has been made, IMPROVED will decide, based on the agreement, whether to return the used device to you. You must return the full amount received and compensate IMPROVED for all damages incurred.
7.12 Losses defined in this guide refer to direct damages caused by a party’s breach of contract to the other party, including but not limited to inspection fees, return shipping costs, reasonable expenses to protect rights such as attorney fees, court fees, bank guarantee fees, appraisal fees, etc.
8. You acknowledge and agree that the platform reserves the right to modify, supplement, or remove any content of this guide according to the needs of the buyback service. The platform will notify such changes by publishing them on the platform, and once published, such notice will be deemed given to all users. If you continue to use the platform’s services after the changes are published, it means you have read, understood, and agreed to accept the revised service guide and rules. You also commit to comply with the new terms and bear all corresponding legal responsibilities. If you do not agree with the revised service guide and rules, you should immediately cease using the platform’s services. The platform reserves the right to suspend, terminate, or restrict your access to the services, and such suspension, termination, or restriction shall not exempt you from responsibilities and obligations for prior transactions. The platform shall bear no legal liability arising from your discontinuation of service use due to the aforementioned changes.
9. IMPROVED holds intellectual property rights to all content on this platform (including but not limited to trademark rights, patent rights, copyrights, trade secrets, etc.). Such content includes but is not limited to text, images, audio, video, data, source code, designs, proprietary technology, and all other information. All content on the platform is protected by the Copyright Law of the People’s Republic of China and related international copyright conventions. Without prior written permission from the platform, users are not allowed to copy, imitate, disseminate, publish, disclose, or display the platform’s content by any means or media, including but not limited to electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording, or filming, or to back up any materials from the platform to other platforms or servers. Otherwise, IMPROVED reserves the right to pursue legal liability according to law.
10. Dispute Resolution
10.1 The drafting, interpretation, enforcement of this guide, and the resolution of any disputes arising from or related to this contract shall be governed by the current and effective laws of the People’s Republic of China.
10.2 During the performance of the contract, if disputes arise, both parties shall prioritize resolving them through negotiation. If negotiation fails, either party has the right to bring the case before the People’s Court where IMPROVED’s headquarters is located.
